Rangers legend Ally McCoist has spoken out on Craig Whyte’s tumultuous ownership of the Glasgow club.
The ex-Rangers boss and the club’s greatest ever goalscorer didn’t hold back as he criticised the businessman. It was the darkest time in the club’s history and McCoist said that didn’t matter to Whyte – who he claims “didn’t give a s***” about Rangers.
He also claims that he couldn’t trust himself to behave should he find himself in front of Whyte again.

“The last time I saw Craig Whyte was in the High Court in Glasgow,” said McCoist, as quoted by The Scottish Sun.
“If I saw him again, I don’t think I could trust myself to behave. I really don’t.
“Whyte and Green were both chancers. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that, which clearly is a shame.
“Both had no interest in the football club”
“Both came in with absolutely no interest in the football club itself.
“They didn’t give a s***. They didn’t care about the club, they were only interested in financial gain.”
Those are pretty stern words from Ally McCoist and sentiments that will be shared by a large portion of the Rangers support. Whyte and Green filleted the club whilst it was on its knees and showed no remorse for the pain of the supporters.

Whyte famously bought Rangers for £1 from David Murray in 2012 as the club was headed to financial ruin. It’s something Rangers fans have never forgotten. And clearly, neither has Ally McCoist.
Whyte and Green will get their comeuppance in due course, but this all feels like too little, too late. The damage has been done. Rangers, thankfully, are on the road to recovery.
Another club legend has been speaking out in support of the club today, but this time about matters on the pitch.
