Rangers legend Ally McCoist says he avoids looking at Parkhead when he drives by the Celtic stadium.
In a funny clip with Arsenal legend Ray Parlour, the two are discussing Tottenham’s new £1bn arena.
Parlour mentions that he passes by it regularly saying it “sticks out like a sore thumb”, before McCoist reveals what he does when he passes through rival territory. Super Ally’s as diehard a bluenose as they come.
The comments were made on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast show. McCoist is a regular on the show and is always supplying the laughs.
Here, he claims that he can’t bring himself to look when passing by Celtic’s Parkhead stadium in Glasgow’s Eastend.
“I need to tell you the truth,” said McCoist. “See when I’m on that new stretch of motorway that takes you the other side of Glasgow, I look the other way.”
“See when Celtic Park is on my left and I’m heading up to see my mum in East Kilbride I can’t even look left. I just look at the right-hand side, I just look at Cambuslang and Rutherglen.”

The iconic Rangers striker’s allegiance to the club has certainly not waned over the years. Even if he experienced a tumultuous time in charge as Rangers manager.
On that period, McCoist recently claimed he “wouldn’t trust himself” around a controversial figure whose legacy continues to haunt Ibrox.
