It would be pretty difficult to have spent time at Rangers and for the club not to have made an impression on you.
Especially when you’ve been at Ibrox for almost three years, scored a stunner against Celtic and scored in the Champions League.
Rabbi Matondo completed his initial loan move to Hanover and, despite his time at the club being largely underwhelming after promising a lot, he did seem to pack a lot in.
The winger enjoyed an “almost perfect” Hanover debut with a stunning solo goal in a 2-2 draw against Hamburg.
He took to social media afterwards with a message to his new club’s fans but Matondo also dropped a claim about Rangers obstacles that had been thrown his way this season.
But his impression of Rangers isn’t all bad according to someone who knows him well.

Rangers made impression on Rabbi Matondo
Dominico Tedesco was the 24-year-old’s manager at Schalke before he made the move to Glasgow and can see that the player has developed during his time at Gers.
The former Belgium boss reckons Rangers has “certainly left its mark” on the player.
He remains a big fan of Matondo’s and has backed him to thrive in Bundesliga.
Tedesco told BILD: “My impression is that he has developed well in recent years. The time in Glasgow in particular has certainly left its mark on him.
“Unfortunately, we only worked together for two months (at Schalke). But during that time I got to know Rabbi as a polite and likeable player.
“Rabbi was still very young when he came to Schalke from the Manchester City youth team. New team, new environment. That’s not an easy step for an 18-year-old.
“Even back then, his greatest strengths were his incredible speed and his offensive one-on-one skills. The 96 fans were able to see this for themselves when he scored to make it 2-1 in Hamburg. His start with the great goal in Hamburg was great. I hope it continues like this.”
Barry Ferguson hopes Rangers cash in on Matondo
Barry Ferguson is hopeful that Matondo performs well in Germany and earns Rangers some cash, with Hanover having an option to buy for £1m.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show, he said: “I think it was best for both parties. [Matondo] wasn’t really involved. His career has been biting with injuries.
“I believe he was a high-earner as well.
“He’ll go over there on loan until the end of the season and if he impresses, Rangers can obviously try and claw back a bit of the transfer fee they paid.
“If he does well, they can hopefully cash in on him.”
