If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery – Celtic fans appear to be lavishing praise on their Rangers counterparts.
The Ibrox side chanting unofficial European anthem “Welcome to the Party” originated from the club’s Europa League qualifying trip to Midtjylland in Denmark [Twitter].
Similarly to last year – with “the Baku” being the chant in question – our rivals can’t help but try to get a piece of the fun. Can you blame them?

Naturally, anyone associated with Rangers must be watching that video through the small holes in the fabric of their t-shirt, jaws clenched and cheeks scarlet.
You cannot mark their neck with a blowtorch.
I’m all for ironically baiting your rivals with renditions of their chants (as happened at Ibrox) but this is such a cringeworthy attempt at taking ownership of it – a transparent acknowledgement of the creativity of Rangers fans and their own lack of it.
For a side who “only sing about themselves” and who “don’t care about the Rangers” it appears that literally everything their fans do is centred around us.
I’m not joking.
If it’s not trying to “ironically mock us” *cringe* then they’re bombarding news articles and twitter accounts with howling Sevcoisms and the kind of “can you see the Rangers” patter that makes you want to scratch at your eyeballs and plug your ears just to make it stop.
Please, someone, anyone, make it stop – for their own sake as much as anyone else’s.
