Rangers fans have raved about footage of Ally McCoist’s 1992 Scottish Cup semi-final winner against Celtic at Hampden Park following a throwback tweet from the official club account.
The Gers media team have been selecting a ‘Goal of the Day’ to help fans through this current period without action.
We’ve seen a screamer from Pedro Mendes, a League Cup-winning goal from Nikica Jelavic and bizarrely, a fairly run-of-the-mill goal from Haris Vuckic from a Championship fixture against Cowdenbeath.

This time, Bears were treated to some classic McCoist finishing, as the club’s all-time top goalscorer helped the Gers pull off a massive victory against the odds.
Reduced to ten men with barely five minutes on the clock after a bizarre red card for David Robertson, they looked up against it at the national stadium.
However, in foul conditions, Walter Smith’s men were able to take the lead on the stroke of the interval.
McCoist pounced on some slack Celtic play to win the ball back in a dangerous area and it broke loose for Stuart McCall.
The Englishman then surged forward down the right before feeding the deadly no.9 who swept a first-time right-footed finish into the bottom left corner, sparking wild celebrations from players, staff and fans.

The Light Blues heroically held on in the second half to progress to the final, where goals from McCoist and Mark Hateley would see them triumph over Aidriedonians to lift the Scottish Cup.
