High-profile links to Juventus and Italy legend Claudio Marchisio are being “strongly denied by the club”, according to Rangers insider Four Lads Had a Dream.
But reports from Italy then suggested the midfielder is still mulling over an offer from the Glasgow club [Matteo Pedrosi]. According to Four Lads, this is something which the club is denying.
It’s being strongly denied by the club, agents at work (Skrtel esq)
Obviously they might want to say that but I haven’t heard anything about this at all, I’d be surprised if it’s true

The reliable insider admits he would be “surprised” is this deal ended up coming off.
For supporters who were getting excited about the prospect of Marchisio coming to the club, this will come as a great disappointment.
Claudio Marchisio at 33 could potentially still have plenty to offer in Scotland, but there are doubts about the player’s fitness and ability now.
Marchisio was released by Zenit St. Petersburg and there are a few red flags concerning any move from the Ibrox club.
But being honest, if Rangers did pull the signing of Claudio Marchisio off it’d be a massive statement by the club.
This is a player who is a club legend at Juve, an old football romantic and someone who would add stature, quality and a winning mentality to the club.
However, according to Four Lads Had a Dream, all the sounds coming out of Ibrox suggest that there’s nothing in this one.
Could it really be agents using the club’s name and fanbase to negotiate a better deal for his client?
