Those Rangers links with Claudio Marchisio do not seem to be going away links to 33-year-old popping up in Italian media once again.
The 55-times-capped Italy midfielder is a free agent after having his contract with Zenit St. Petersburg mutually terminated last season.
According to Calcio Mercato journalist Matteo Pedrosi, three clubs remain interested in the Juventus legend.
#calciomercato #svincolati

These links come after Marchisio was said to have rejected an approach by Rangers last week.
But later reports then suggested the Ibrox club had not given up hope of signing the midfielder [RMC Sport] despite reports claiming he was nearing a move to French club Monaco.
The Tweet from Matteo Pedrosi seems to confirm that the Ibrox club remains hopeful that Marchisio will join up with Steven Gerrard’s side.
It’s very unlikely Rangers could offer the same kind of wages as Monaco or even Brazillian outfit Flamengo could, meaning Marchisio would have to make any decision on purely footballing grounds.
Someone who bled for Juventus and spent 12 years at the club, making over 380 appearances, perhaps the old football romantic in Claudio Marchisio fancies one last shot at glory?
Or perhaps he’s looking for a final pay-day?
Reports concerning a Rangers move for Marchisio do not seem to be dying down and they likely won’t until the Italian midfielder decides his future.
Do we seriously believe that could be Rangers?
