Rangers attacker Fashion Sakala has suspiciously scrubbed the Ibrox club from his profile on Twitter – with the Gers readying departures.

The Zambian international, 26, has changed his profile and header pictures on the platform to him playing for Zambia, whilst the ex-KV Oostende star has no mention of the Gers in his bio.

Fashion Sakala also took to Twitter a few hours ago to notify fans of a new profile picture but the entire thing is raising suspicions regarding the player’s Rangers future.

Whilst exit links have been few and far between this summer, Fashion Sakala was heavily linked with a Rangers exit last season amid links to Celta Vigo in La Liga, Auxerre in Ligue 1 and now Premier League side Burnley.

We don’t have any insider information on what’s going on with Fashion Sakala given the substantial changes on his Twitter, but the move is a highly unusual one for any footballer who is settled at his current club.

Rangers boss Michael Beale has also been claiming that the club are readying exits in the coming weeks with substantial investment having already gone into the side.

The Rangers manager was speaking after Leon Balogun became the club’s seventh summer signing, the Nigerian international rejoining the Gers after a season with QPR.

“It’s early in the summer, so there’s going to be more signings come in and out, we have a really fixed idea on some of the work that we’re doing and it’s ongoing,” said Beale.

Whilst reports have suggested the likes of Glen Kamara, Scott Wright and Antonio Colak are more likely to leave, the changes to Fashion Sakala’s Twitter account have the rumours raging.

Signed in the summer of 2021, Fashion Sakala has often frustrated Rangers fans with his wasteful end product costing the club big in both the League Cup and Scottish Cup defeats to Celtic last season.

That lack of clinical finishing in the big moments over the last few seasons may well prove costly as Michael Beale bolsters his frontline with moves for Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima and Cyriel Dessers.

There is also lingering interest in Brazilian striker Danilo, who continues to impress with Feyenoord in pre-season.
