Highly-rated Rangers prospect Ross McCrorie has been sent out on-loan to Portsmouth as the defender-turned-defensive-midfielder looks to continue his development.
And whilst some fans might’ve raged about the reported option-to-buy clause, which was subsequently rubbished by Four Lads Had a Dream, Portsmouth fans have been celebrating securing McCrorie’s services for the season.
The south coast club are aiming an assault on League One next season. McCrorie will be right at the heart of it.

The former Premier League club’s supporters are clearly excited at the prospect of Ross joining their ranks.
The Scotland U21 captain has been described as a potential “future captain” of Rangers by Steven Gerrard.
But Ross McCrorie will see his chances limited this season as Rangers have strengthened in midfield and the likes of Greg Docherty have returned.
A loan spell in League One worked wonders for Docherty and McCrorie will be hoping it does the same for him.

Docherty picked up a host of awards as he impressed with Shropshire outfit Shrewsbury Town last season.
Regular, consistent game-time could have a significant impact on McCrorie’s development and his maturity, and it’s a loan deal which could benefit all parties.
