Highly rated Rangers star Ross McCrorie is set for a loan move to Portsmouth according to reports [Daily Record], but there’s one aspect to the deal which isn’t sitting right with Rangers fans.
According to the Evening Times, the deal involving McCrorie includes an option-to-buy clause at the end of the loan deal.
It’s something which has Gers fans scratching their heads with McCrorie considered one of the club’s biggest talents.

Rangers fans are clearly unhappy at the decision to include an option-to-buy clause for someone who is a very popular player at Ibrox.
It’s also a strange decision given Steven Gerrard’s previous comments about McCrorie potentially being a future Rangers captain.
The centre-half-turned-defensive-midfielder is a product of the club’s youth academy and Rangers love nothing more than seeing one of their own make the grade at the club.
The idea that Rangers will lose the player for a cut-price fee come next season is something which worries them.
It doesn’t help McCrorie has previously been held up as one of Rangers’ prized assets.

The player follows the path set by Greg Docherty, who’s successful season down south with Shrewsbury appears to have earned him a place in Gerrard’s squad this season.
The athletic midfielder helped secure the Shrews League One status as Doc picked up a raft of end of season awards with the club.
