Philippe Clement seems to have a smaller group of players to work with every game as the clock ticks on Rangers transfer window.
So far, only Rafael Fernandes has been added to the squad with the manager clearly looking for more reinforcements.
With a CEO and technical director above him now, Clement doesn’t have to deal with the board directly, leaving him free to concentrate on the team, however, the Rangers boss has still given his thoughts on possible transfers.

Philippe Clement explains Rangers transfer expectations
Speaking after the 4-0 win over Ross County, Clement was asked directly about whether or not he expected any new signings:
“It’s not my decision to take. So, we had clear talks about profiles, about players. And then it’s about the club, if it’s possible or not. And I will see.
“You never know. But if that’s the case, you need to be replaced by at least the same level. That’s what we agreed.
“So, you never know if something crazy comes, but then there needs to be a replacement. So, then it needs to go really fast.”
When asked about specific numbers, the Gers boss said:
“Yes, of course, we spoke about that. They agreed they will try to go for those numbers.”
Clement has spoken at length about Rangers being in the situation where it is one in, and one out.
This is a sustainable way to approach recruitment, but he clearly needs help from those above him.
What two signings do Rangers really need to make?
Kieran Dowell and Rabbi Matondo have both left on loan, they might be back in the summer, however, they have both left gaps in the squad.
Midfield was already short of options and so was the wing, even if Connor Barron and Oscar Cortes return, there still isn’t much in terms of depth.
Lyall Cameron seems the most likely addition given his contract status and similarity to Dowell in terms of the position that he plays.
For Matondo, a promising Premier League youth prospect on the fringes could be the best bet.
Clement didn’t say what ‘numbers’ he was looking for, if there is less than two though, he has more than a right to complain.
