Rangers manager Philippe Clement appeared to confirm Scott Wright as the mystery injury absence from the Europa League clash with Sparta Prague.

Heading into the clash at Ibrox this week, Philippe Clement had told supporters at at the Fans’ Forum at Edmiston House that there was a fresh injury doubt heading into the game.

But whilst Philippe Clement was not giving anything away at Ibrox, when pressed on the absence of Scott Wright from training the manager appeared to hint in the direction of the Rangers winger.

A frustrated Clement also suggested that he’s growing tired of constantly fielding questions on those players who are absent from the squad.

“No (Scott Wright didn’t train),” said Clement. “He’s in serious doubt. It’s not sure yet but it’s a serious doubt.

“John Souttar also not, Nicolas Raskin also not, and Rabbi Matondo trained the first time with the group today but he’s not ready to be part of the selection.

“I hope to speak more about the fit players because for the moment I am always talking about the players who are not fit.”

Philippe Clement confirms Scott Wright latest injury doubt

Whilst Rangers could be without Scott Wright heading in the match with Sparta Prague Philippe Clement did have some more positive news about Kemar Roofe.

The perennially crocked Rangers striker is back in training and could be used from the bench in the Europa League Group C clash.

Rangers know that a victory against Sparta Prague at Ibrox will stand them in good stead when it comes to qualification and the focus come kick off will be on the players who are fit enough to make a difference.

Rangers winger Scott Wright has been experiencing a resurgence under Philippe Clement after previously seeming exit bound at Ibrox.

Coming off the bench in the weekend’s Scottish League Cup win over Hearts, his celebrations in the clash hit a note with one former ex-Ger.
