Rangers attacker Findlay Curtis is attracting a significant level of attention following his impressive loan spell at Kilmarnock.
The 19-year-old made 21 appearances for the Light Blues in the first half of the season, but found playing time hard to come by after Danny Rohl took the reins in October.
As a result, Curtis moved to Kilmarnock on loan in what turned out to be a fruitful spell for him, bagging five goals and an assist in 14 games.
Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that he is attracting interest and attention from all corners.
Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔
Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!
Findlay Curtis’ Scotland call-up a “curve ball”, says Pat Nevin
As it turns out, among those who have taken note of Curtis’ performances for Killie is Steve Clarke, who has called the Rangers teenager up to the Scotland squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Reflecting on Scotland’s squad announcement on Tuesday, Nevin described the attacker’s inclusion as “the curve ball” he did not expect.
Although taken by surprise, the 28-time Scotland international said that he had been paying attention to Curtis’ spell at Kilmarnock.
He wrote in his column on The Scotsman: “The Scotland squad chosen by Steve Clarke has all the usual suspects, of course, so the biggest short-term interest will be with the surprises and the tough calls.
“The curve ball was the inclusion of 19-year-old Findlay Curtis, who has been on loan at Kilmarnock from Rangers and recently knocked a few curved balls into the Rugby Park net himself.”

Nevin has no qualms about the Rangers ace’s age, having been impressed by his “sparkling form” recently.
He said, “Timing is important, and Curtis has been in sparkling form lately, even if some will question the wisdom of relying on such youth.
“Have a look around, and you will see that many young players have been included in World Cup squads – in the simplest terms, if you are good enough and you show the right strength of character, you are old enough.
“It does help that it is a 26-man squad this time, which allows for a wild card or two.”
How long will Danny Rohl be at Rangers?
Andrew Cavenagh has confirmed he will not be sacked ahead of the new season…
Could Rangers have won the Premiership with Curtis?
Much has been said about the way in which the Gers fumbled the title race in the final weeks of the season.
While the likes of Andy Gray were convinced that Rohl and Co. could not sustain a title challenge, they were indeed in the mix until their run of four losses in a row after the split.
It makes one wonder if things would have been different had Rohl not sent Curtis, whom Dan Purdy has been keeping tabs on over the last few months, out on loan.
His record in the second half of the season certainly stands out when compared to the likes of Djeidi Gassama and Andreas Skov Olsen.
This also raises serious questions about Rohl’s judgment.
Nevertheless, it is safe to say Rangers have a top player on their hands, and it will be exciting to see how he fares at the World Cup.
