Rangers fans will certainly have high expectations for Lawrence Shankland going into the 2026/27 season.
They have seen the Scotland striker being linked with a move to Ibrox for the past few years, but he has finally joined them and will be donning the Rangers blue next term.
Shankland played a major role in getting Hearts in contention for the Scottish Premiership title and even scored in the decider against Celtic, but unfortunately, he was part of the side that lost 2-1.
Should Lawrence Shankland be named the Rangers captain?
Colin Hendry believes he deserves the armband right away…
Rangers fans expect Lawrence Shankland to score over 20 league goals next season
Over 1000 fans interacted with the TalkingPoints poll, and 60 per cent of them have predicted that the 30-year-old scores over 20 goals in the league alone next season.
For context, that would see Shankland winning the Golden Boot in the Scottish Premiership in five of the last eight seasons.
They stated over 20 goals, which could even mean more than the 27 that Kyogo Furuhashi scored in the 2022/23 season for Celtic.
Which of these strikers are Rangers expected to sell?
Lawrence Shankland's arrival will surely change things!
A little over 30 per cent of the Gers fans predicted that he would score between 11 and 20 league goals next term, which is still a healthy return provided the likes of Youssef Chermiti, Ryan Naderi, and the other attackers also chip in.
Less than 10 per cent of supporters feel that Shankland will struggle in his first season at Ibrox.
They do not see the prolific Scotland striker scoring more than 10 league goals.

How is Danny Rohl likely to utilise Shankland at Ibrox?
Danny Rohl is likely to use Shankland as the focal point of his attack, potentially as a target man who plays in a two-striker system.
Youssef Chermiti, on the other hand, could be the one who drifts out wide, gets into the channels and looks to bring his teammates into the game.
Shankland has shown that he is good in the air and also capable of finding space inside the penalty area, so Rohl would ask his full-backs to play high up the pitch and always look to feed the ball to him.
The 30-year-old is an excellent fit on paper for the Light Blues, and fans are right to have such high expectations.
