Once Rangers-linked attacker Jesse Lingard remains without a club following his release from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.
The latest reports have suggested that the 30-year-old ex-England international is training with West Ham United as he looks to secure a club for next season.
Most famous for his time with Manchester United, Jesse Lingard had a stint on loan with the Hammers in 2021 which had proven his most successful in years.
Having broken through at Manchester United in 2011, the attacking midfielder spent the bulk of his career at Old Trafford but has also had loan spells Leicester City, Birmingham City, Brighton and Derby are various points in his career.

Having joined Nottingham Forest last summer, former Rangers director Ross Wilson, now in a director of football role at the City Ground, opted against keeping Jesse Lingard this season.

Rangers were linked with a surprise move for Jesse Lingard heading into the January window of 2021, interestingly the window which the attacker eventually signed for West Ham United.
Once Rangers-linked Jesse Lingard without club
Whilst a transfer did not materialise back then, with the Ibrox side under the stewardship of Steven Gerrard, the player’s situation may well raise a few eyebrows in the Rangers support.
Michael Beale was the Liverpool legend’s assistant when those links were original circulating, whilst several English-based stars have looked to restart or kickstart their careers at Ibrox.
Jack Butland and Kieran Dowell joined Rangers in the summer, whilst John Lundstram and Todd Cantwell are already considered key members of the first team.
On top of that, Rangers boss Beale has claimed that the club is yet to replace the unpredictable forward play of Ryan Kent in this window with a Jesse Lingard on form certainly a player in that mould.

Whilst there has been nothing official to link Jesse Lingard with Rangers, the player’s situation will be of note to Rangers fans who weren’t entirely against the idea back in 2020.
Having been capped 32 times for the England national team, Jesse Lingard also made 17 Premier League appearances for Nottingham Forest last season.
In total, the former Man United attacker has made 182 appearances in the English top flight and if wages were no obstacle, represents an interesting option for Rangers.
