Rangers fans have been making their voices heard in a fiercely contested online poll debating which mainstream football pundit frustrates the Ibrox support the most.
Football coverage in Scotland rarely lacks drama, but the analysis served up across major broadcasters like Sky Sports, Premier Sports, and the BBC frequently draws the ire of the Light Blues faithful.
To gauge the exact temperature of the fanbase, a new TalkingPoints poll on Rangers News asked supporters a simple question: Which pundit do Rangers fans dislike the most?
With over 1,300 total votes cast, the final results have thrown up a dramatic twist, with a razor-thin margin settling the debate between two of Scottish football’s most polarising analytical figures.
Which pundit do Rangers fans dislike the most?
Some of them are terrible…
Michael Stewart v Chris Sutton: The current standings
While Celtic icon John Hartson was included in the options, he sits as a distinct third, with the overwhelming majority of the Ibrox support focusing their attention squarely on a tight battle at the top.
Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton was leading the pack in the early stages of voting. Famous for his relentless social media trolling and frequent on-air sparring matches with Rangers icon Ally McCoist, Sutton has long been a prime target for Ibrox boo-boys.
However, as the vote progressed, former Hearts and Hibernian player Michael Stewart surged from behind to take a razor-thin lead.

Stewart, a regular fixture on BBC’s Sportscene and Premier Sports, has frequently clashed with the Rangers support over his analytical takes on high-profile refereeing decisions and club governance.
The latest metrics show just four votes separate the pair, with Stewart sitting on 43.92% (574) and Sutton’s 43.61% (570).
Rangers fans make frustrations known
Meanwhile, Hartson occupies third place with just 9.03% (118) of the vote share, indicating that while his green-tinted allegiances are clear, his style of punditry does not raise the blood pressure of the Govan faithful quite as severely as his broadcasting peers.
Fans made no secret of their disdain for the aforementioned pundits, with Stewart, in particular, drawing much criticism.
Meanwhile, one supporter threw Tom English’s name into the mix, writing:
With the poll remaining incredibly tight, it is clear that both Stewart and Sutton will continue to dominate the post-match discussions – and the frustrations – of the Light Blues support well into the new season.
