Former Rangers midfielder and current Kelty Hearts manager Kevin Thomson has tweeted again after an afternoon post ramped up speculation that he could be part of the next coaching team at Ibrox.
After a successful stint as a player at Rangers between 2007 and 2010, Thomson returned to the club as an Academy coach not long after hanging up his boots in 2016.

He worked his way up to B team head coach but left Auchenhowie in May to take over from Barry Ferguson as manager of Kelty Hearts.
The 37-year-old is faring brilliantly at New Central Park, with Kelty unbeaten and ten points clear at the top of League Two.
On Tuesday afternoon, he tweeted a throwback picture from the 2008 UEFA Cup Final captioned with handshake and football emojis.
The initial tweet received hundreds of replies, with many Bears excited at the idea of the RangersTV co-commentator potentially taking up a coaching role with the first team.
However, he’s since clarified the intention of the tweet and seemingly distanced himself from a return.
“Just an old photo!” he wrote. “Nice messages tho, but wasn’t meant for that.”
“Frenzy on my phone.”
Giovanni van Bronckhorst remains the favourite to replace Steven Gerrard as manager, but several sources have suggested that an announcement is unlikely to happen today.
In other news, a Rangers star’s return following international duty was delayed after an incident at Heathrow Airport on Monday.
