James Tavernier’s agents have spoken out after the Rangers captain defied Danny Rohl and walked out of the squad to Hibernian on Wednesday.
The Light Blues succumbed to a fourth consecutive defeat in the Premiership after losing 2-1 to Hibs, but the biggest talking point was the bust-up between Rohl and Tavernier.
Tavernier was unhappy not to be named in the starting line-up for what was supposed to be his final Ibrox appearance as a Rangers star and left the stadium altogether.
The Gers captain eventually returned for the presentation by John Greig, only to go back in.

Rohl has since addressed the situation, admitting that he found the defender’s behaviour strange, as he thought they were on the same page.
The former Sheffield Wednesday manager explained that Tavernier was a fitness doubt for the game and had to take injections to be available.
He revealed that the plan was to bring the 34-year-old on as a substitute, but that is only Rohl’s side of the story.
Tavernier is yet to break his silence over the situation, but StormSportX, who represent him, have now dropped a cryptic message.
Taking to social media, the agency suggested that their client will be vindicated when the full story is eventually out.
StormSportX wrote on Instagram: “Time will tell the tale.”

Why Rangers must sack Rohl after fallout with Tavernier
Rohl is under increasing pressure as the Rangers manager after losing four games on the bounce.
The Glaswegian outfit have gone from battling for the title to struggling to get a win on the board in less than three weeks.
This has led to a huge section of the fanbase wanting the German tactician gone.

Tam McManus believes Danny Rohl will be sacked…
However, that has not changed the minds of the Ibrox think tank, who believe Rohl is still the man to take the team forward.
Speaking ahead of the game against Hibs, the 37-year-old claimed that he has no doubts over his future in Govan, having held talks with Andrew Cavenagh.
However, Cavenagh must reconsider his stance after what unfolded at Ibrox on Wednesday.
Tavernier clearly believes he was fit enough to start against Hibernian, and for Rohl to not start him in what was a dead-rubber match for the Gers anyway is inexplicable.
