Gabby Agbonlahor has hit out at Danny Rohl after Rangers lost 2-1 against Hibernian at Ibrox on Wednesday.

The pressure is mounting quickly on Rohl, as the Light Blues have gone from being title contenders to losing four games in a row in less than three weeks.

Meanwhile, James Tavernier added fuel to the fire after he walked out of Ibrox in an act of defiance against the manager, who left the captain out of the starting lineup in what was supposed to be his final home game as a Rangers player.

Is Danny Rohl’s treatment of James Tavernier a sackable offence?

He did not start Tavernier in his final Ibrox game…

Gabby Agbonlahor didn’t like what he saw at Ibrox

The Gers and Rohl would be thankful that all the attention is currently on Celtic’s controversial 3-2 win against Motherwell on Wednesday, but that is not to say the incidents at Ibrox have gone unnoticed.

Agbonlahor was among those who noticed that Tavernier was in tears when he came onto the pitch for the presentation by John Greig before kick-off.

The talkSPORT pundit described Rohl’s decision not to play the right-back in what was a dead-rubber fixture as a ‘disgrace’.

He believes the 34-year-old would have received a great send-off from the Ibrox crowd due to his contributions to the club over his 11-year stint.

Agbonlahor clarified that he did not like the fact that Rohl took such a farewell away from Tavernier.

Speaking live on talkSPORT, he said: “Danny Rohl, disgraceful not giving Tavernier minutes. He was crying when he came on the pitch, wasn’t he, for his last home game.

“All he’s done for that football club, and you end up losing the game anyway. That’s four defeats in a row; you weren’t playing for anything last night.

“I didn’t like that, mate. He would have got a good send-off from the Rangers fans. I didn’t like that at all.”

Tavernier may have played his last game for Rangers

Rohl has since revealed that he found the bust-up with Tavernier strange, as he thought he was on the same page with his player.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss explained that the defender had fitness concerns ahead of the game, and the plan was to bring him on as a substitute.

However, Tavernier could not have made it any clearer that he disagrees with Rohl, having walked out of the stadium altogether before eventually walking out in a suit for his presentation.

We are yet to hear the Englishman’s side of the story, and all eyes are now on him to break his silence.

Therefore, it would not be a surprise if Tavernier may have already played his final game as a Rangers player.
