Ibrox insider Four Lads Had a Dream have rubbished reports linking the club to a whopping seven players.
The transfer window always throws up a few extravagant names, but given it only opened this week it’s crazy to think seven names have been plucked out of the hat.
Speculation is one thing but passing something off as concrete interest when it isn’t is poor form. In their latest blog post, Four Lads have been quick to shut these links down.
The Ibrox insider has suggested that English veterans
Stewart Downing [Teeside Live] and Leighton Baines are not on the club’s radar. Both were linked due to connections with Steven Gerrard and expiring contracts.

They also suggest that both Kilmarnock’s Eamonn Brophy [TEAMtalk] and Hearts/Norwich’s Steven Naismith are not transfer targets.
From down south, we’ve also seen tenuous links to Martin Olsson [Expressen], Tomas Kalas [
Scottish Sun] and Josh Magennis [Belfast Telegraph]. All of these have been rubbished by Four Lads. Kalas’ Instagram post wasn’t aimed at Rangers then.
That’s seven players who the club have been linked with which the reputable source has refuted.
And Four Lads Had a Dream have given us absolutely no reason not to trust their information before.
