Eros Grezda was described as a “£20m player” by some sections of the press.
Not that the Albanian minds the price tag.
Grezda spoke at a press conference prior to today’s match with Dundee and answered questions on the high praise.
“I wouldn’t say the words from the commentator a pressure because I know my potential,” he explains. “I believe in myself and once I am 100 per cent fit everything is possible.”
An exciting player who Gerrard rates
Steven Gerrard has spoke very highly of Grezda since the Albanian international winger joined the club.
He expects the fans soon will be too.
“We are delighted to have him as he is a top player and a very exciting player,” said Gerrard. “He carries pace, a lot of ability and I am sure fans will love him when he is up to speed.”
Grezda looking forward to playing
The pacey wide man is also eager to hit the ground running at Ibrox. Grezda told the press he was eager to get going at the club and how happy he was to be at Rangers.
“I’m not so happy about not being 100 per cent fit, but I’m working very hard. These have been a tough two weeks for me. I’m really looking forward to coming back as fast as I can.
Rangers fans can expect to see a player who always gives 100 per cent, gives his heart on the pitch and always wants to win no matter who we play.
I play winger so my job is to assist, I love being close to the goal – and I’m fast. I have always watched football and know the history of Rangers.
When I got a call from them I was so happy. I couldn’t wait to come here and sign.”
Rangers will be hoping to catch their first glimpse of the winger against Dundee.
