High-profile Rangers striker target Josh Maja has been tipped to move to Ligue 1 Lorient after the expiration of his contract at Girondins de Bordeaux.
The Nigerian international striker, 24, has been tipped for a return to the French top flight by 90min, who reckon Josh Maja is the perfect FC Lorient replacement for Nice-bound Terem Moffi.

Having had previous experience in Ligue 1 with Bordeaux, the striker is well versed with the set-up in France and although it is not an official link, 90min believe Josh Maja fits the profile of the kind of player FC Lorient need up top.
This comes after Josh Maja was extensively linked with a move to Rangers earlier in the summer, with reports claiming the striker was a legitimate long-term target for the side.
Having previously been linked to Rangers during his time at Sunderland, the striker is someone Michael Beale is well aware of but now it appears Ibrox attentions have been directed elsewhere.
FC Lorient linked to Josh Maja as Rangers look elsewhere
Rangers have already moved to bring in Sam Lammers (Atalanta) and Abdallah Sima (Brighton, loan) this summer, whilst the club has also splashed the cash to sign Cyriel Dessers (Cremonese).
There remains widespread reporting surrounding Feyenoord striker Danilo, with the sounds going quiet on Josh Maja for the last few weeks.
This comes after the striker was officially released by Bordeaux at the end of his contract, Josh Maja having seen his summer plans disrupted by the Ligue 2 club’s appeal to the FFF following their end of season relegation.
Interestingly, Michael Beale has also talked about meeting with one high-profile summer Rangers target and deciding against a move as he revamps the Rangers squad.
Whilst there has been no official suggestion that Josh Maja is the player in question, there are rumours the now Lorient-tipped striker met with Beale earlier in the year.

“There was only one player I met who I felt was not a good fit,” said Beale.
“He was a very good player, but just not a good fit for us.
“You get in a room and you get a feeling about someone.
Whilst FC Lorient potentially represent an interesting option for Josh Maja, sources close to the striker have claimed that the player is actually pushing for a return to England next season.
