Moving on from Ryan Jack, we take a look at one of his midfield partners, Ross McCrorie.
It has been an interesting season for the youngster, so far.
During the early part of the season, he featured regularly in all competitions.
He was quietly effective during those opening months, with the exception of the league fixture against St Mirren at Ibrox, where he picked up a red card.

Injury then sidelined him and he subsequently remained out of favour for a short while. Those circumstances limited him to just two appearances across October and November.
It was in the run up to the winter break, when McCrorie’s fortunes changed.
Although the result was disappointing away at Rapid Vienna, the 20-year-old looked at home in midfield, alongside Ryan Jack.

Since then, it has all been positive.
His performance in the home win against Hamilton the following weekend, saw him named in the SPFL Team of the Week.
Most recently, he was excellent throughout the landmark Old Firm win. He read the game well and helped nullify Celtic as an attacking threat.
Looking ahead, his future is uncertain.

What’s more, with Glen Kamara also on his way to Ibrox, either this month or in the summer, there is soon to be even more competition in midfield.
Hopefully, Rangers stick with their man. He’s a home-grown talent with a great head on his shoulders and the stomach for a battle.
Qualities befitting of a future Gers captain.
