Following on from Andy Halliday, we evaluate the impact of Ryan Jack in his second season at the club.
As of last week’s most recent update, Transfermarkt value the midfielder at £850k.
Clearly, no one from that site watched a Rangers match in December.
The former Aberdeen captain, came of age as a Ger during the festive month.

Having struggled with injury and ill-discipline across the last campaign, the arrival of Steven Gerrard presented a new opportunity for Jack.
Disciplinary issues seemingly resolved, niggling injuries still hampered his beginning to the season.
Yet, a faultless display in the away defeat to Rapid Vienna seemed to signal the end of any problems.

Despite the result, Jack was the best player on the pitch. What’s more, it’s form the 26-year-old carried right up to the winter break.
He’s barely put a foot wrong in his last five outings for the Gers.
Whether deployed in a deep-lying or slightly more advanced role, he mops up with minimal fuss and distributes the ball with ease.
The icing on the cake was, of course, his Old Firm winner against Celtic. His first for the club.

A hugely significant goal and you could see just how much it meant to Jack and the fans.
Looking ahead to the run in, this player is pivotal. The consistency of his recent performances is hard to find elsewhere and he clearly loves playing for the badge.
Don’t expect too many more goals, but do expect a whole lot of quality from Ryan Jack, in 2019.
