Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd is never slow to put the boot into Old Firm rivals Celtic and the pundit has been fair enjoying the last few weeks at Celtic Park.

Our Old Firm rivals have won only two of their last ten matches culminating in Neil Lennon’s side crashing out of the League Cup to Ross County and “violent protests” in Glasgow’s east end.

Now, Kris Boyd has further twisted the knife by naming a team full of Ross County stars in his Scottish Sun Team of the Week.

Naturally, it’s had plenty of Celtic fans biting on Twitter but by proxy, the Rangers support have been chuckling alongside the ex-Ibrox striker.

The hapless Parkhead club were handed a scolding by Stuart Kettlewell’s side – who also won Boyd’s Manager of the Week – with goals from Ross Stewart and Alex Iacovitti sparking wild protests.

Rangers fans themselves have even been astounded at the reaction of their Celtic rivals as the Gers continue to operate like a well-oiled machine this season.

Chuckling Gers fans saluted Kris Boyd via Twitter as the striker – who is regularly berated by our Old Firm rivals – twists the knife:

The former Rangers and Kilmarnock striker is certainly enjoying Celtic’s recent form as he is seen sharing a laugh across multiple media channels.

Rangers fans have also been reacting to Boydy’s League Cup coverage over the weekend as the Gers secured passage to the quarter-final against St. Mirren via a 4-0 win over Falkirk.
