Back in December, a Rangers store opened in St Enoch Square in Glasgow City centre.
The new shop wasn’t promoted officially by the club, due to an ongoing merchandising dispute.
However, that didn’t stop fans from turning out in their droves [Evening Times].

In the run-up to Christmas, it’s arrival couldn’t have been better timed, and it went down a storm with Bears.
Then, last month, it emerged that a similar shop would open in Belfast City Centre.

Just as was the case in Glasgow, eagle-eyed supporters spotted a job advert for staff in a shop window.

Now, an opening date has finally been confirmed.
The store will commence trading at 10am this Friday (19 April) from premises on Castle Lane.

It’s great news for the thousands of Gers supporters in Northern Ireland and a testament to the size of the fan base in Belfast, that the priority was to open a store there, ahead of a second in Scotland.
Just as with the flagship store, demand is sure to be high.
Furthermore, the opening could be just in time for a new kit announcement. At least, that’s how some fans have interpreted a recent tweet from Hummel.
