It’s not often that a non-bluenose says something nice about Alfredo Morelos, but Darren O’Dea appears to be bucking the trend.
The Dundee captain and former Celtic player was full of praise for Morelos after Rangers humbled his side 4-0. And not for his goalscoring exploits.
Indeed, O’Dea was more complimentary to the physical side of the Colombian’s game.

As quoted by The Herald, Darren O’Dea said: “I went down in the first half but it was just a bit of fun – I kicked Morelos and he kicked me. He’s a good player and I always enjoy playing against him.
“He’s physical and likes the rough and tumble. He gets kicked a lot so it’s only fair he kicks out the odd time.
“He’s up for a scrap and gets a name for going over the top but probably takes more punishment than he gives out.
“I’ve no issues with him. I like that side of the game and I’ve kicked him before and he gave me one back so that’s fine.”
We didn’t see that one coming. Darren O’Dea has never been the most popular man at Ibrox but there’s no doubting his commitment to Dundee when he plays for them.

It’s good to hear someone talking up Morelos rather than speaking him down. The striker recently told Colombian Radio Caracol that
The striker has been on top form for Rangers and has 28 goals for the season. For many, he’s the Player of the Year so far.
Naturally, ransfer talk never seems to be far from the Colombian. It’s a sign he’s doing something right.
But can Steven Gerrard convince him to stick it out for one more year at Ibrox?
