Danny Rohl is not guaranteed to be in charge of Rangers next season despite claiming Andrew Cavenagh backs him.
The 37-year-old pushed the Light Blues into the title race after taking over from Russell Martin in October, but a record of four defeats in the five post-split fixtures has raised major question marks over his future.
Rohl has maintained that he is confident he will be in the Rangers dugout when the 2026/27 season kicks off, having held positive talks with Cavenagh.
However, there is enough reason to believe otherwise.

It is worth noting that Rohl’s reputation has plummeted further since insisting that he will be at the club next season after his bust-up with James Tavernier ahead of the departing captain’s final appearance at Ibrox.
It then emerged on Saturday that Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises will review the former Sheffield Wednesday manager’s position ahead of next season.
Now, Alan Nixon, who reported extensively on the Gers’ interest in Kevin Muscat before appointing Rohl, has hinted that a decision is imminent.

The insider journalist reported that Rohl‘s future in Govan is not guaranteed, as he claimed, with the managerial situation expected to be cleared up before transfer plans are fully drawn up.
In response to a question by Rangers News, he wrote on X: “Manager thing needs clearing up soon.”

Who do you see replacing him?
Why Rangers must sack Rohl
At 37, Rohl has demonstrated that he is an exciting manager with a bright future ahead of him.
He did incredibly well at Sheffield Wednesday despite the club’s plight under Dejphon Chansiri’s ownership, and he also deserves credit for pulling Rangers back into the title race after replacing Martin.
However, in the last few weeks, it has become evident that Rohl does not have what it takes to deal with the challenges that a club of the Gers’ size and stature pose.
The German’s tactics have left much to be desired in the post-split games, while his handling of the Tavernier situation at Ibrox last week is alarming.
That is why Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises cannot risk going into the new season with Rohl at the helm if they are serious about usurping Celtic.
