Russian outfit CSKA Moscow are preparing a move for Burnley striker Matej Vydra after Rangers reportedly failed in a January move for the Czech striker.
The Russian Premier League club is reportedly looking to the Clarets striker to strengthen their attacking options ahead of their league season returning at the end of February.
That’s according to the Mirror [03/02/20, p.44] who claim the 4th placed CSKA Moscow side are considering a move for the Czechia international with their transfer window open until February 21st.

Rangers were linked with a deadline day move for Vydra as they looked to strengthen their forward line in the absence of Jermain Defoe, who is set to be out for at least four weeks [Rangers].
Steven Gerrard’s side was said to be close to clinching a deal for the player [Glasgow Times] on what was a furious deadline day at Ibrox.
But after reports claimed that Burnley couldn’t find a replacement for the striker – who has struggled for game time at Turf Moor – the deal was called off [Herald].
Rangers move for Hibs forward Florian Kamberi softened the blow of missing out on Vydra but the club will be disappointed the striker isn’t part of their squad for the remainder of the season.

Matej Vydra, 27, signed for Burnley from Derby County in 2018 for a reported £11m but has struggled to break through into the Premier League side’s first XI.
