As Rangers travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell, in Jake Hastie, there’s a player in claret and amber who’s been tickling the fancy of those at Ibrox.
With a contract running down, Rangers were being consistently linked to the player. There were even reports the deal was done [originally Football Insider].

That was before the considerably more reliable Evening Times and Chris Jack said it had been called off. Fans were just as confused. But could Jake Hastie come back to haunt Rangers today?

The inverted winger is a direct, youthful player with an abundance of energy and a natural ability to find the back of the net. He’s a very dangerous player and has been on sparkling form since re-joining Motherwell from Alloa in January.
The 20-year-old’s six goals in eleven games have been a huge part of Motherwell’s upturn in form. He’ll be looking to impress today to show Rangers what they’re missing.
If he does, I wouldn’t be surprised for a small door to be left open for the player. That’s if there isn’t already.

The thing is, Rangers aren’t wasting any time waiting around for players to make their decisions. They’ll move on quickly to avoid disappointment down the line.

And the club already appears to have done so with this reported move for an English Championship forward [originally Daily Record].
