Prospective Rangers signing Joe Aribo will have his medical at Ibrox “in the next 48 hours”, according to a Daily Mail journalist.
If Aribo should sign for Rangers, he’ll become the club seventh signing of a busy enough window.
The Daily Mail has followed the story closely and Adrian Kajumba now believes that the deal is nearing completion.
The Daily Mail first reported that Rangers were set to secure Aribo’s signing on a £20k per week deal [Daily Mail, via the Scottish Sun].
The highly sought-after midfielder has been the subject of much transfer interest as his contract runs down at Charlton.
Aribo is free to speak to clubs and Rangers have been consistently mentioned in the papers. Now it looks like the Ibrox club have got their man.
This is despite Lee Bowyer meeting with Aribo and pleading with the player to stay at the Valley [London News Online].
Bowyer then took to talkSPORT to discuss the player’s future, mentioning that two Premier League clubs had shown an interest in Aribo [TalkSport, as quoted by the Daily Record.]

You get the feeling that Charlton really don’t want the player to move to Rangers.
But that doesn’t seem to be bothering Rangers, who are on the verge of putting the 22-year-old through a medical.
