Rangers will only have to pay a development fee of around £250k for the pre-contract signing of Joe Aribo, according to the Evening Standard.
The Ibrox club is reportedly set to sign the 22-year-old midfielder up with Aribo reportedly preparing to meet with Charlton boss Lee Bowyer on Friday to tell him his decision.
The move is considered a major coup for Rangers. Even more so because the club has to pay such a low development fee.

Should Rangers play in England, they would have to pay considerably more for the player. Whilst it’s unclear exactly how much, it would likely be several million.
As a result, whilst the cross-border development fee benefits Rangers, it is a bit of a sting for Charlton.
Their Head of Recruitment Steve Gallen had previously said
If Aribo is to sign for Rangers, Charlton loses one of their best young talents for next to nothing.
But the business of football is very much a dog-eat-dog world and Rangers will be delighted to only be shelling out £250k for the midfielder.
The fact Rangers are paying so little for the player could also be the reason why the club is reportedly set to shell out £20k per week on Aribo’s wages [Daily Mail, via the Scottish Sun].
