Aberdeen boss Barry Robson claims links to the likes of Rangers and Celtic is not affecting Bojan Miovski after the Dons’ latest humilation.
Reports this week claimed that Rangers are not expected to act on any potential interest in the Aberdeen striker despite “keeping tabs” on the player.
This is after former Rangers striker Kris Boyd had tipped the Gers to potentially consider a move for the forward, who netted 18 goals for the Dons last season.
In fact it’s being suggested that Old Firm rivals Celtic are more likely to move with Aberdeen demanding a record-transfer fee between Scottish clubs.
This means that Aberdeen value Bojan Miovski – who cost £650k from MTK Budapest 18 months ago – above the £4.4m Celtic paid to bring Scott Brown from Hibs in 2007.
Barry Robson talks Bojan Miovski
Speaking after Bojan Miovski drew a blank in Aberdeen’s late 1-0 defeat at home to Kilmarnock, Barry Robson claims he has not read anything about the player’s future.
Also claiming that he has not seen a downturn in performance from the Montenegrin international, the Aberdeen boss had been asked if the speculation was affecting the player.
“I have never seen any of (the speculation),”Barry Robson told Sky Sports. “If there is speculation about any player then you can’t let it affect you.
“I’ve not seen that with him about the building. You can’t score barrel-loads of goals every game.
“He’s working really hard and putting himself in the right positions and the goals will come.”
Whilst Bojan Miovski has 11 goals for Aberdeen this season, the striker has only scored once in his last eight league matches, netting in the 1-1 draw with Rangers.
Rangers’ Aberdeen record costing club title challenge
Whilst Barry Robson was discussing the future of Bojan Miovski at Aberdeen, there are plenty of Dons fans discussing their manager’s future at Pittodrie.
Quite remarkably, the Dons’ latest defeat to Kilmarnock – the club’s third league defeat in four games – sees them slip to 11th in the Scottish Premiership table and into the relegation zone.
With the goal coming in injury time, it really “doesn’t look good“ that one of the country’s most expensively assembled teams keep conceding the final stages of games, does it?
Despite boasting one of the highest wage bills in the country, the ex-Celtic midfielder is struggling to get a tune out his charges except from when they play Rangers.
In fact, if Aberdeen hadn’t gained the four points they’ve taken from the Ibrox side in the Scottish Premiership this season, they’d be bottom of the division.

Conversely, if Rangers had picked up the extra five points on offer against the Dons, then they’d be three points behind Celtic with a game in hand.
It’s a damning indictment of this Rangers squad’s inability to handle Aberdeen and how this season pans out may well depend on our performances against them from here on in.
The two teams are set to contest the ViaPlay Cup Final at Hampden, with the showpiece clash set for the 17th of December.
