Alfredo Morelos appeared to have the world at his feet at one point of his Rangers career.
The Colombian striker could do no wrong in Europe, everything he touched turning to gold and his exploits making him the highest scorer in European competition at Ibrox EVER.
Domestically he didn’t seem to be as clinical but his all-round game, combining physical strength with running power and coming up with big goals, made him ideal for Gers and the Scottish Premiership.
He was a firm favourite with the fans, earning himself the nickname El Bufalo.
Ann offer worth £15million from Chinese side Hebei China Fortune, which could have made Morelos £30m over three years, was reportedly turned down in the summer of 2019 (Sky Sports).
Fast forward four years and he was allowed to leave Rangers on a free after an underwhelming final season, along with Ryan Kent whose time at the club followed a similar trajectory.
Not only that, but Morelos went on to spend months without a club before signing for relegation-threatened Brazilian side Santos.

Morelos’ post Rangers career turns sour
Months later Santos were officially relegated and Alfredo Morelos would have to accept a wage cut to play in the second tier.
He wasn’t really cutting the mustard and scored four goals in 17 appearances for the Brazilians who were relegated for the first time in their history.
Morelos was banished from the first-team squad with the club citing ‘technical reasons’ and even although he eventually was allowed back into the fold, he still struggled for game time.
That led to a return to Morelos’ homeland with a loan to Atletico Nacional the summer just past.
Morelos always loved a celebration and sparked bedlam on his Nacional debut by gesturing towards the away fans after his side scored a winner, for which he had won the penalty.
He has seven goals in 22 appearances for the Colombian outfit but his spell has been marred by drink-driving allegations.
Morelos wanted for Peru transfer
The 28-year-old could be on the move again with reports a Peruvian side are interested in taking him on.
South American journalist Gustavo Peralta says champions Universitario are looking at three strikers ahead of their new season and Morelos is one of them.
The others are also currently in the Colombian top flight – Leonardo Castro of Millonarios and Deportivo Pasto’s Daniel Moreno.
They are also said to be considering options from Uruguay and Argentina and Peralta says the club will take their time to make a decision.
Any move to Peru would see Morelos playing the fifth different country of his career after turning out in Colombia, Finland, Scotland and Brazil.
