Luis Palma hopes to leave Greek outfit Aris during the summer transfer window but Rangers are just one of a huge number of clubs interested in the Honduras international.

That is according to Paulo Hernandez, Palma’s agent breaking his silence in conversation with Diez as a hectic summer awaits his much-coveted client.

Palma, who is valued at around £4.5 million, has admirers in Germany, France, Belgium, Brazil and America. Not to mention Scotland.

Rangers have reportedly scouted the 23-year-old on occasions this season. Palma, who’s scored 13 goals and set up eight more from his left-wing role, would likely replace Ryan Kent at Ibrox, the latter set to leave when his contract expires in July.

Is Luis Palma replacing Ryan Kent at Rangers?

“Well, the truth is that he is having a good season. Luis Palma’s numbers are really brilliant,” Hernandez explains.

“He has earned the right to dream of being in a more important team, in a more important league. He has earned that right and he is earning the right to make it come true, without a doubt.

“What we all hope is that Luis will be sold in the transfer market this summer.”

Palma, who Hernandez reveals is under contract at Aris for ‘about three more years’, has been described as the best striker of a ball anywhere in Greek football. His impressive goalscoring numbers certainly bare that out.

Rangers could face competition from the Premier League too. Though Hernandez points out that, in the post-Brexit era, taking clients to England’s top flight is not quite so straightforward these days.

“Today there are teams that are actively asking about his situation. There are more than 10 teams actively asking about the footballer,” the agent adds.

“In England, you have to take into account that there is the point of the work permit. It is not like other leagues where it is so easy to play. There is a series of scores that depends on various factors; depending on the footballer’s salary, depending on the cost, depending on his time in the national team.

“Playing in England is a little more complex.”
