Rangers have the small matter of taking on Fenerbahce first but after that all eyes will be on Celtic.
Gers have given themselves a brilliant chance of reaching the Europa League last eight with the 3-1 first leg win in Turkey and they will hope there’s enough left in the tank for an away derby on Sunday.
Steven McLean was today confirmed as the ref for Celtic Park while John Beaton is in charge of VAR for the derby.
And while Fener comes first, the Old Firm clash is still only days away so it’s worth putting some focus on that too.
Here, Rangers News looks at some of the key battles.

Cyriel Dessers vs Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty
Among the things that have exasperated Rangers fans about Cyriel Dessers has been his performances against Celtic.
He has missed big, important chances on more than one occasion in the fixture and has just one goal in eight appearances in the fixture, coming in the 2-1 post-split defeat last season.
Dessers himself even lamented the record against Celtic and it hasn’t got much better since.
Those comments came just weeks after the striker claimed Rangers were the better team and made a title boast that proved to be unfounded.
The way he has been playing recently though means Celtic should fear coming up against Dessers. He has turned it on domestically and in Europe and backed up performances with goals.
Unfortunately he will be coming up against a very strong defender in Cameron Carter-Vickers and it will e an intriguing battle.
James Tavernier vs Daizen Maeda
James Tavernier just can’t seem to avoid Daizen Maeda.
The right-back has had some really tough battles against the Japanese forward who usually seems to come on top as a result of his relentless pressing and running.
So you would think there would be some relief for Tav if he plays centre-back in this one. Unfortunately for him, Maeda has also moved inside and has been playing as a central striker so could be directly up against him once again.
Mohamed Diomande vs Callum McGregor
Time and time again, Callum McGregor has dictated and dominated derbies.
Mohamed Diomande can be the one to try and stop him this time.
Whether Barry Ferguson sticks with the 3-4-2-1 that worked so well against Fenerbahce or goes back to some variation of 4-2-3-1/4-3-3, Diomande could well be the number 10, or one of the two 10s.
That means he could be handed the brief of trying to be on top of McGregor at all times to try and stop him being an option every time they have possession.
For all his faults, Nedim Bajrami did a decent job on McGregor in the last two games and Diomande could follow that playbook.
Nicolas Raskin vs Arne Engels
Another intriguing match-up could be Belgian on Belgian.
Nicolas Raskin has been one of Rangers standouts this season after finding a level of consistency in his individual game and looking more like the player everyone thought he could be when first arriving from Standard Liege.
Raskin won plenty of praise for his display against Celtic in the January victory and could be key here.
One of Celtic’s attacking threats from midfield will be his countryman Arne Engels who has played in flashes so far since his £11million move and flattered to deceive so far.
Jefte vs Nicolas Kuhn
Nicolas Kuhn has been one of Celtic’s standouts this season and a contender for the league’s Player of the Year.
He could come up against Jefte, who has looked decent going forward but very suspect defensively. Jefte was recently slammed for ‘criminal’ defending against Motherwell and it’s not the first time he’s had flak of that ilk.
He’s also prone to a yellow card when coming up against a decent winger so this could be one that’s a worry for Ferguson.
