Rangers vs Ross County: TV channel, kick-off time, team news, referee & VAR

For the first time this season, Rangers have the opportunity to usurp Celtic at the summit of the Scottish Premiership tonight.

And there is absolutely no better opposition to face than Ross County for a couple of reasons. The club sacked Derek Adams on Saturday after a bizarre reign that saw him slaughter Scottish football and his own players in front of the cameras and questioning his decision to return as boss in the first place.

And with the inexperienced Don Cowie placed in interim charge, second-bottom County are in disarray so Rangers can deal them some damage and rise to the top of the table with a better goal difference than the Hoops.

Rangers need to win by three clear goals to do so and having never lost to the Staggies in all competitions, there’s a good chance Philippe Clement’s side can do it – despite the Belgian not being interested at all in the feat.

Below, Rangers News provide you with everything there is to know about the clash against Ross County including how to watch on TV, the latest team news and the officials.

Rangers team and injury news

Philippe Clement addressed the media on Tuesday at his pre-match press conference and confirmed that Leon Balogun has a chance of making the matchday squad.

The Nigerian defender suffered a facial fracture against Livingston at the start of February and missed the wins over Aberdeen and Ayr United.

Clement said: “Leon trained with a mask. We still need to make some adjustments with the mask. That’s always normal, I have some experience with that getting some knocks.

“So yeah we will see tomorrow (Wednesday) how he is, if he can be in the squad or not.”

Elsewhere, Ryan Jack continues to be protected from further injury by Clement and will not be available for selection. Dujon Sterling remains suspended but will be back in contention for the weekend’s trip to St Johnstone.

Referee & VAR

Alain Muir has been appointed as the referee for Rangers vs Ross County tonight. Calum Spence and Stuart Stevenson will be his assistants while Ross Hardie has been handed fourth official duty.

Gavin Duncan is on VAR with Alan Mulvanny assisting him.
