Rangers boss Michael Beale has picked out Real Betis stars Isco and Ayoze Perez as players to watch ahead of the Europa League clash at Ibrox.

The Gers boss was speaking about the options in the talented Real Betis squad, who go into the match at Ibrox as favourites to win the clash.

But Rangers at Ibrox is a difficult proposition for any team and the Ibrox support have an expectation that the club will rise to the Europa League occasion v Real Betis.

Speaking firstly about the group as whole, Rangers boss Michael Beale claims that the club is expecting to get out of the group, which also contains domestic champions Sparta Prague and AEL Limassol of the Czech Republic and Cyprus respectively.

“Real Betis were sixth in La Liga and they won their (Europa League) group last year with Roma and went unbeaten,” said Beale.

“Obviously Roma went to the Final so they’ve showed their pedigree in the competition and I think they’ve recruited well in the summer.

“It’s a competitive group but we’re expecting to get out of it.”

Michael Beale wants Rangers to take the game to Real Betis

Michael Beale has been speaking about the Real Betis team ahead of the game as he assesses the challenge of the Europa League.

Discussing the high levels of the competition, Michael Beale challenged his team to rise to the occasion as he singled out Spanish duo Isco and Ayoze Perez.

“I think (a win) would be a big boost to everyone,” said Beale.

“The squad certainly, the staff and the fans. What’s most important is that we go and take the game and we play with energy and quality.

“We’re playing against a very good team. If you look at their front four I think they’ve very, very dangerous.

“It’ll be a good game, it’ll be a great game to challenge ourselves and get this group up and running.

“I think (the fans) want to see their team go after Real Betis and we’ll do that as best we can.

“They’re a good side; players like Isco in there, and Ayoze Perez, we have to be careful with some of their attacking players.

“But the most important thing tomorrow is that we come off that pitch and we’re talking about Rangers players.”

As Rangers and Michael Beale prepare for the Europa League visit of Real Betis, the Ibrox manager has had to contend with yet another high profile injury.
