Rangers fans flocked to buy a special offer Zambia top in honour of striker Fashion Sakala – and sold them out within an hour.

The Ibrox club’s supporters were invited by Classic Football Shirts to buy a surplus of season 18/19 Zambian shirts which had been reduced to only £10 a jersey.

Perfect for everything from a game of fives to a trip to Ibrox, Rangers fans flocked to snap the orange Zambia jerseys up.

But the demand for the Copper Bullets’ tops were so high that within one hour over 400 of them had been sold, emptying the suppliers’ shelves.

The original tweet promoting the Zambian shirt was sent at 11:30am on the 15th of November with the tweet informing fans that they were sold out being sent at 12:25pm on the same day.

Zambia star Fashion Sakala, 24, is the man of the moment amongst the Rangers fans after an initially challenging first few months in Scotland.

The pacey forward signed on a pre-contract deal from Belgian side KV Oostende but the Zambian international’s early introduction to life at Ibrox was interrupted by both injury and a need to settle.

But ever since netting a hattrick in the 6-1 demolition of Motherwell, the pacey forward has been the toast of Ibrox with his song taking over Copenhagen during a recent Europa League visit.

Things have been going well for Fashion during the international break too.

The striker netted yet another hattrick, this time for Zambia in a 4-0 demolition of Mauritania in World Cup Qualifying.

The result leaves the nation with an outside chance of World Cup Qualification but they’ll need to beat Tunisia by three clear goals and hope Equatorial Guinea lose to Mauritania.

Currently occupying 3rd place in Group B of African World Cup Qualifying, the 10 group winners are entered into a Playoff with the five winners qualifying for the tournament in Qatar next year.

Whilst Rangers fans have been flocking to buy the Zambia top, an ex-Ibrox star has been lavishing Fashion with praise.
