Ex-Rangers manager Mark Warburton is reportedly set for a run-in with Scotland boss Steve Clarke over striker Lyndon Dykes as the Aussie-born star returns from injury.
The national team gaffer has had his fair share of run-ins with the Rangers fans over the years and isn’t always Mr Popular amongst the Gers support.

But this time around it’s not the Rangers fans who have a gripe with the Scotland manager but rather controversial ex-Ibrox gaffer Mark Warburton.
At least that’s according to the Daily Record, who claim the decision is set to “infuriate” now Queens Park Rangers manager Warbs.
This is after comments from the QPR boss regarding Dykes – who plays for the English Championship club – and his fitness for both the London club and the Scotland team.
“We always want our players to go away and get international experience,” said Warburton.
“But if he is not fit for us, he is not fit for Scotland.”

Despite this, Steve Clarke called up Lyndon Dykes for the upcoming friendly double-header with firstly Poland and then the loser of the Austria/Wales World Cup Playoff.
Scotland were originally supposed to play Ukraine during the international break as they vie for a place at Qatar 2022 but the match has been rescheduled to June due to ongoing conflict in the country.
Rangers fans too are well used to injury-related run-ins with Steve Clarke and Scotland after Steven Gerrard infamously criticised the nation’s handling of midfielder Ryan Jack on Tartan Army duties.

This has led to increasing fears in the Ibrox support regarding the recall of the midfielder to the Scotland squad, Jacko also included for the friendlies.
But for now it’s Mark Warburton reportedly falling out with Steven Clarke on Scotland duties as Lyndon Dykes recovers from a month on the treatment table and the Rs chase promotion.
