Rangers will imminently announce a new partnership with BioWaveGo as changes are made to two stands at Ibrox, according to the Scottish Sun.
The Gers have struck agreement after agreement since James Bisgrove’s appointment as Director of Commercial and Marketing in 2019.
Club partnerships have been established with Orange County SC, Bengaluru FC and Hamburger SV, while a new kit and retail partnership with Castore and deals with brands like Eighty One Powerdrink, Titleist, Molton Brown and Bitci Technology have all been completed.
Now, it looks as though a significant new partner is coming on board.
The Scottish Sun reports that a deal has been struck with pain relief technology firm BioWaveGo and that ‘an official announcement will be made imminently’ providing further details.
It’s stated that BioWaveGo’s logo is being added to the top sections of the Broomloan and Copland Road stands and perhaps when that work is complete, the announcement will come.
Some supporters may be against any changes to the look of the stadium to suit sponsors, but in an era where the selling of naming rights is relatively commonplace, a pair of logos is a relatively small ask.
The deal will likely bring substantial funds into the club, which is crucial given that even though season ticket sales have been remarkable, the club has been without traditional matchday revenue for well over a year now.
In other news, an exciting international has reportedly chosen Rangers over European and Middle Eastern clubs.
