Manchester United youngster Ethan Laird looks set to be recalled from his loan spell at QPR following Michael Beale’s move to Rangers
The English right back has been on loan at QPR this season but look set to be recalled and this has set in motion the thought he could follow Beale to Rangers.

Under the guidance of Beale at QPR the 21 year old right back has been one of the club’s star players, making 17 appearances and putting in a string of top performances.
However the news that Laird is set to be recalled has plenty suggesting that perhaps he could see himself at Scotland’s most successful club in the coming months.
Could Ethan Laird follow Beale to Rangers on loan?
Erik Ten Hag has given plenty of chances to youngsters in Manchester and the move to recall is seen as another opportunity for a young talent.
Rangers fans though have seen this as a chance to reunite Beale and Laird and offer some much wanted competition to Tavernier at right back.
Although there looks like no way to move the Rangers captain from his slot its clear fans would welcome a fresh set of legs in that position.
There is no doubt the on loan right back would be a superb snag for Rangers however the lack of depth for United at full back suggest he is being recalled for their purposes.
Beale thrived with Gerrard in their early tenure at Rangers by bringing in young loan prospects and offering the opportunity for game time and growth.
Times are different at Rangers this time around though and last year’s Europa League finalists will likely have their sights set on one or two permanent targets.
Of course the rumour mill will keep on turning, especially with players connected to Beale and as the window edges closer we suspect it’s just getting started.
Meanwhile, one exit linked Ibrox star could yet stay at the club.
