Rangers kid Jack Wylie is reportedly a transfer target for Man United and Arsenal – but the appointment of Michael Beale can help stave off the Premier League big guns.

The Gers are used to top Premier League clubs poaching their youngest talents with the likes of Chelsea moving for Billy Gilmour as a teenager and Rory Wilson following suit down south by signing with Aston Villa.

With the millions on offer down south and with those world class facilities and experiences acting as a lure, Rangers are often up against it to convince their top teenage talent to sign deals with the club.

But it has happened before as the cases of Leon King and Alex Lowry show and as the Daily Star links Jack Wylie, Rangers will be hoping to convince yet another teenager the same.

The report is claiming that Man United have joined Arsenal in the hunt for 16-year-old Scotland youth international midfielder Jack Wylie with Rangers desperate to keep hold of the youngster.

Michael Beale influence can help Rangers keep Jack Wylie at club

Rangers are a gigantic club with huge expectations and regular European football, so whilst they may not have the millions on offer down south, the chance of top level development is the biggest lure the club has.

Michael Beale is a former Chelsea and Liverpool youth coach and is known to have a stellar reputation south of the border when it comes to working with young players.

Even the presence of Lowry, Zak Lovelace and Adam Devine in his first Rangers training sessions stands as a testament to this and fans will expect a more youthful side in the weeks and months ahead.

Rangers have also shown through Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo that they can be a top destination for young players from down south to develop and Lovelace is the latest to fall into that bracket.

But in the case of Jack Wylie, as two Premier League behemoths in Man United and Arsenal reportedly hover, Michael Beale can offer the midfielder a first-team shot he might not get down south and the chance to develop into a better player, faster.

Meanwhile, Rangers may be forced to ring-fence a reported £11.1m amid the latest court cases aimed at the club.
