Whisper it quietly but, if everything goes to plan, Michael Beale will have a fully fit Rangers squad to choose from against Morton at the weekend.

The latest training video has seen all but Ridvan Yilmaz in action out of those who were missing recently but he is pencilled in for a return in mid-week.

After getting the players he wants in the transfer market, Michael Beale now has no excuses given the depth of Rangers squad available to him.

Michael Beale spoilt for choice with Rangers squad injury update

Not every player is 100% fit but a quick check looks good for Michael Beale and his Rangers squad.

Starting in defence, Ben Davies is back in full training but not in the Champions League squad for the tie with Servette and will probably start at the weekend.

Connor Goldson is though and being rested against Livingston means that he should line up alongside John Souttar, hopefully the latter gets a well-earned break soon too.

As previously mentioned, Ridvan Yilmaz will return to training this week and Michael Beale is hoping to have the left-back available for Rangers league cup campaign starting at Ibrox on Saturday.

Tom Lawrence has been a welcome sight in training videos and a place on the bench at Ibrox again would be warmly received.

Building up minutes and intensity is now his next goal.

The same applies for Kemar Roofe who seems to be getting wrapped in cotton wool by Michael Beale as he looks to get the Rangers striker back to his best.

There is no rush to make him start games and having him as an option off the bench is more than good enough just now.

He doesn’t have to be fit for 90 minutes but 20-30 gives Michael Beale another great attacker should Rangers need a goal.

The more players who are available, the better, as we saw against Livingston, having a plan B makes a difference, a luxury that Giovanni van Bronckhorst was never afforded.

We knew Dr Waller was good but, maybe he is the Mesiah after all…
