Rangers are not interested in Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell, despite claims to the contrary emerging earlier this week.
The Rangers Review claim that the 20-year-old England youth international defender is not a player “under consideration” from Michael Beale as he looks to revamp his squad this summer.

The news comes amid claims south of the border that Rangers had a bid rejected for Charlie Cresswell, who spent last season impressing whilst on loan at Millwall.
Charlie Cresswell is highly-rated at Leeds United and following their relegation from the Premier League, and amid doubts surrounding their current defensive options, he may be given more opportunities next season.
Rangers Charlie Cresswell bid claims rebuffed
Rangers are known to be in the hunt for centre-back reinforcements after losing injury-plagued Filip Helander at the end of his contract and with major doubts surrounding Ben Davies‘ future at Ibrox.
Whilst the likes of Nottingham Forest centre-back Jonathan Panzo are yet to be rebuffed in the media, those Charlie Cresswell claims have been immediately shot down in flames by the press.
Rangers have also been linked with a move for Arsenal centre-back Auston Trusty, but a deal is said to be off the table due to the finances involved in the transfer.
It leaves Rangers fans nervously chewing their fingernails with regards who might be coming into the club this summer as Michael Beale looks to sign reinforcements.

The club have already added three pre-contract signings from south of the border, with midfielder Kieran Dowell (Norwich City) and versatile defender Dujon Sterling (Chelsea) being followed by Jack Butland (Crystal Palace) into the club.
Rangers have also struck a deal for Atalanta striker Sam Lammers ahead of the new campaign with the Dutch forward set to join on a reported £3.5m deal.
Whilst those links to Charlie Cresswell have been short lived, Rangers fans will have one eye on who the club move for at centre-back in the coming weeks and months.
