As Rangers are linked with a move for Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers, the reports may well explain Michael Beale posting on Instagram about a trip to Italy.
The latest reports are claiming that Rangers have had a bid rejected for Cyriel Dessers, who has been relegated from Serie A with the side he joined last summer.

According to reports, Rangers will have to pay up to £7m for the 28-year-old, with the Italian club hoping to make a small profit on the Nigerian international one year after his arrival in the country.
Before this, Dessers plied his trade in Belgium – the country of his birth – and in the Netherlands, with largely differing results.
Rangers fans might feel that it’s a substantial amount to be spending on a striker of Dessers’ age, but Beale certainly appeared to be in Italy earlier in the season.
Was Cyriel Dessers subject of Rangers Italy scouting trip?
The Rangers manager sent transfer tongues wagging and fans everywhere started attaching English options to the Ibrox side when Beale uploaded images from a trip to Italy.
Michael Beale then admitted when asked about the trip that the visit to Italy “wasn’t a holiday” with the Rangers boss there on official club business.
“It wasn’t a holiday (in Italy),” explained Michael Beale.
“I was off working for the club in Italy last weekend to meet some contacts and watch some games. I love recruitment and looking at players, there will be change.
“We are in an age with stats everywhere, but I want to sit with a player and see if they want to play for Rangers. You also want to clearly chat through their roles and what they can expect at the club. Relationships in football is massive.
“I’m really comfortable with where we are going, it is clear we want to get most of our work done early and get a strong pre-season.“
While the comments had fans pointing to the likes of Sampdoria loanee Harry Winks, it now appears that the Rangers boss may well have been in Italy looking at Cyriel Dessers.
As for the price, Rangers manager Beale has also hinted previously that the club will spend on a striker, suggesting good quality forwards “cost quite a bit of money”.
It would suggest Rangers are ready to spend and perhaps Dessers is the man signposted to replace Alfredo Morelos at Ibrox.
