The teenager played in the FA Cup last season as well as netting 14 goals at youth team level and he is being tipped for big things.

With Academy activity suspended over the summer due to the global health crisis, he’s had to wait a while to get going at his new club, but he netted for the first time on Friday against the Buddies.

He was joined on the scoresheet by Arron Lyall, who has started the season strongly in front of goal. Earlier this week, he was rewarded with a contract extension until 2022 [Rangers Youth Academy].

However, despite these two promising forwards doing their bit, the Young Gers couldn’t secure a win at Ralston.

St Mirren netted three times against a defence which has been leaky so far this season.

The U18s drew 3-3 with Queen’s Park last week at the Rangers Football Centre and lost 2-0 to Partick Thistle at Lochinch a fortnight ago.

Supporters are used to seeing Rangers dominate at age-group level but despite the signings of Weston, Charlie Lindsay and James Graham in recent months, this group are yet to find consistency.
