Rangers midfielder Charlie McCann celebrates Celtic victory
A clip uploaded after Cole McKinnon scored the eventual winner in the 1-0 victory showed the Rangers youngsters rushing to celebrate in front of the Celtic Park crowd.
Right at the front was Charlie McCann – the Rangers number 10 – who swaggers over like he owns the place and treats the Celtic support with the contempt the Rangers fans think they richly deserve.
It’s caught the attention of supporters who believe there are some players in that Rangers first team who could learn from the bullishness of the youngster.
It wasn’t just on the pitch Charlie McCann celebrated getting one over on Celtic either, as he took to Twitter in the post match to celebrate a win at “their place”.
And just when Rangers fans didn’t think they could sing the wee man’s praises enough, news that Charlie McCann has switched international allegiances had the Ulster contingent buzzing.
A former Republic of Ireland youth international, their U21 coach branded the midfielder’s decision to switch to Northern Ireland “unfortunate” with plenty of Rangers supporters of the opposite view.
Confident, committed and with bags of ability, we’re excited to see what Charlie McCann can bring to Rangers and we suspect if he can break through proper the support is going to love him.
Meanwhile, a leading Rangers partner have rejected one journalist’s claims regarding a new contract for another major Ibrox talent.
