Rangers kid Charlie McCann has sent a triumphant message after helping to dispatch the Celtic B team and choosing Northern Ireland over the Republic.

But it has been on B Team duties in the Lowland League that Charlie McCann has most impressed with the talented midfielder netting nine goals this season.

The midfielder took to Instagram after the 3-0 B team win over Old Firm rivals Celtic at Ibrox as the Young Bears sent out a message to their city counterparts.

Ross McCausland, Alex Lowry and Tony Weston got the goals in an impressive victory for the Ibrox youngsters and fans will love McCann referring to Celtic as “them”.

Rangers’ Charlie McCann called up for Northern Ireland U21s

Charlie McCann also made a nod to his involvement in the Northern Ireland set up in the message, as he prepares to join up with their U21s for the first time.

Capped at youth level for the Republic of Ireland, McCann switched allegiances ahead of the international break in a move branded “unfortunate” by ROI u21s manager Jim Crawford [BBC Sport].

Previously fielding questions on the controversial switch, Charlie McCann claims he was convinced after speaking to the Northern Ireland set-up and is looking forward to the “adventure”.
