Philippe Clement has responded to transfer rumours surrounding Rangers talent Zak Lovelace and a return to former club Millwall.
The teenage forward is highly-rated by Rangers and after breaking through into the first-team at Ibrox has struggled with a string of injury problems.
Having come back into the squad in recent weeks, Zak Lovelace missed the weekend’s 4-0 victory over Ross County only heightening talk of a return to Millwall.
But after Philippe Clement confirmed that Lovelace missed the win over the Staggies with injury, Millwall appear to have turned their attentions elsewhere.

Zak Lovelace linked to Milwall
Zak Lovelace was linked to Millwall by reports south of the border which claimed the London club would be active in the final few days of the transfer window.
Southwark News reporter William Scott hinted Millwall could return for Lovelace in a tweet about the Lions re-signing the club’s ‘second-youngest debutant ever’.
Being the second youngest Millwall debutant ever, naturally it led to questions about Zak Lovelace’s current status at Rangers.
The striker is out of contract at the end of the season although Rangers are believed to have offered Lovelace a new deal.
Zak Lovelace going nowhere as Millwall sign attacker
Millwall have signed 21-year-old Brighton winger Benicio Baker-Boaitey amid links to Rangers striker Zak Lovelace.
English youth international Baker-Boaitey has signed a ‘long-term deal’ at the Den and the winger’s arrival will cool talk of a move for Rangers star Lovelace.
Whilst the fee has been officially ‘undisclosed’, the Athletic report Millwall will potentially pay around £1m to bring Baker-Boaitey to the Den.
The deal also comes after Rangers manager Philippe Clement confirmed 19-year-old Lovelace missed the clash with Ross County due to injury.
“To be clear about Zak, he was today not in the selection because he had a problem with his toe,” Clement told the press after the 4-0 win.
”So he got an injection yesterday from the doctor. So otherwise he would have been on the bench.”
